An exceptional pair of archival Gucci pants from Tom Ford's Spring/Summer 2000 collection.
Cut from stretch cotton in an elongated flared silhouette, the pants feature the collection's iconic python print in a vivid turquoise and black colourway. Look closely and the Gucci signature is subtly incorporated amongst the snakeskin markings, transforming the animal print into a distinctly house-specific motif.
Sitting close through the waist and hips before falling into a long, gently flared leg, the silhouette epitomises Tom Ford's sensual vision for Gucci at the turn of the millennium. Finished with discreet hip pockets and rear welt pockets, allowing the extraordinary print to remain the focus.
The python motif appeared throughout Gucci's Spring/Summer 2000 collection, with the trousers presented on the runway in an alternate colourway.

A note on the fit. These are cut small and short. The waist measures 68cm / 26.75" around and the fabric has only slight give, so they best suit an XS or S with a small waist. The inseam is 71cm / 28" — a shorter leg than most flares, so they will read cropped on anyone tall. Please go by the measurements rather than the size on the label.
Measurements — taken flat, in centimetres. Waist and hip are half measurements — double them for the full way round. The cotton has a little stretch.

Care while on loan
Clips, tape and pinning into seam allowance only. No pins through the face of the fabric, no stitching, no alterations. Keep fake tan, body makeup and heavy fragrance off the cloth. No smoking, eating or drinking while it's on. Please don't wash, spot-clean, steam or dry-clean anything — I handle all the cleaning myself, and it's already covered in your loan fee. Return it in the garment bag it arrived in.
Shipping and returns
Sent tracked and insured anywhere in Australia, with a prepaid return label included in your loan fee. Lodge it over the counter on or before your return date and send me the tracking number. A $50 per day late fee applies after that. Collection in person isn't available. International loans are arranged case by case.
How a loan works
Four days, for photography only — not events. Apply with your shoot dates and I'll confirm availability, then send you the Archival Loan Agreement and an invoice for the loan fee and damage cover. Where a bond applies it's paid by bank transfer, and if you've borrowed from me before it's waived.
